Green Smoothie | Kale Smoothie Detox

Green smoothies are made by blending large quantity of raw leafy green vegetables with fruit to soften and sweeten the taste. You can also replace kale with spinach, swiss chard, collard greens, celery, broccoli, and parsley. Try this nutritious smoothie with kale, pear, mango and milk. You can also have it as breakfast. It will alkalize the body.


  • 2 cup of Kale 
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 cup of mango
  • 1 1/2 cup of Milk / Almond milk
  • Honey as per your taste ( I used 1 tbsp)


Wash kale, remove stems and discard it. Roughly chop the leaves.

Peel the skin of pear and mango. take out the seed and chop them into small pieces.

In blender, puree kale, pear, mango, milk and honey until smooth and frothy.

Sweet & Savory Pie Cones

Pie cones

The pie cone is crisp pie crust and the cone is filled with yummy sweet and savory fillings.

I made chocolate tofu mousse for sweet filling and Turkey vegetables for savory filling. Both came out so well and it tasted so good. we liked it lot.

Pie cones


For pie cones

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Cold milk ( add little by little)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Salt

For Sweet filling

  • 16 Oz extra firm Tofu
  • 1 tsp Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Melted chocolate or Nutella
  • 1/3 cup Maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence

For Savory Filling

  • 1 cup minced turkey meat
  • 1 medium size onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 4 sweet mini peppers
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • cilantro for garnishing

Things for making mold

  • Parchment paper
  • Aluminim foil sheet

Mold making: 

Take A4 sheet size of both parchment paper and aluminium foil sheet.

Make a fold in the middle of parchment paper and crush it on one end.

Take aluminium foil sheet and wrap it over the parchment paper to attain the cone shape.

Dough preparation:

Take a mixing bowl, add in flour and salt, whisk until all combine.

Add oil and mix it all well.

Add a tablespoon of milk at a time, mix well using hand.

Keep adding milk and knead until the dough becomes right consistency.

Roll the dough and bake it:

Preheat oven to 400 F

Divide the dough into 3 equal portion. Take one portion, dust the floor with some flour and roll the dough using rolling pin.

Roll it according to the size of the mold u have made.

Once you rolled it, keep the cone mold on the dough and start rolling the dough over the mold. seal the edges using water.

One cone is ready now.

Repeat the same process for rest of the dough

Once you have made all the 3 cones, it's time for baking. For better result, pie cones should stand upright.

Keep the cones carefully in the baking dish and bake it for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Take it out from the oven and let it cool down completely. Remove the cones carefully from mold.

Sweet filling preparation:

Wash tofu in fresh running water and cut into small cubes.

Take all the ingredients in blender and blend it until you get smooth paste consistency.

Transfer it to air tight container and refrigerate it for an hour.

Savory filling preparation:

Heat oil over medium flame, once oil heated, add garlic and saute for few seconds.

Add onions, saute until it becomes translucent.

Add in vegetables, season them with salt and pepper, cook for 3 minutes.

Add minced turkey meat & cilantro, mix all well and cook uncovered and stir often until the meat is cooked well.

Remove it from flame and let it cool down for sometime.

Pie cones

Savory filling

For sweet pie cone: Take a cone, scoop some chocolate tofu mousse into the cone and top with fresh strawberry.

For savory pie cone: Take a cone, add some turkey meat filling into the cone and top with shredder cheese.

Serving suggestion: Refrigerate the sweet pie cone for an hour and serve chill. For savory pie, preheat oven to 200 C, bake for 5 minutes and serve hot.

Turkey Pepper Poppers

Turkey Pepper Poppers!

These poppers are made with sweet mini peppers and stuffed with minced turkey meat. These are great for snacks. You can replace the filling with your choice of meat or creamcheese. Try it out, I am sure you will make it again and again. Thanks.

Step 1: Ingredients

  • 1 cup Minced Turkey ( you can also use minced chicken )
  • 10 - Sweet mini peppers
  • 1 medium size Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • Generous pinch of dried Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Step 2: Filling preparation

Turkey Pepper Poppers

1. Heat oil in pan over medium flame. Once the oil is heated, add chopped garlic and saute for few seconds.

2. Add in chopped onions, saute for couple of minutes.

3. Add minced turkey meat into the pan and cook for 3 minutes.

4. Season the filling with salt and dried oregano and mix all well.

5. Cook uncovered until the turkey meat is completely cooked.

6. Remove pan from flame and let the filling cool for sometime.

Step 3: Stuff and Bake

Preheat oven to 375 F.

1. Wash the sweet mini peppers with running water and pat dry them with paper towel/tissue.

2. Halve the peppers, discard the seeds and set aside.

3. Take turkey filling and halved peppers. Spoon the turkey filling into each pepper half.

4. Bake the poppers for about 20 minutes or until the sweet peppers become softened.

Step 4: Add cheese and Bake

1. Once it baked, take out from oven and sprinkle cheese over the poppers.

2. Put the pan back to oven and bake for 2 minutes or until the cheese completely melts.

3. Take out from oven and transfer the poppers to serving plate and relish them.

Homemade Crayons | Beeswax Crayons

Beeswax is the part of Honey Comb that can be melted down, filtered and used for making various products like Candles, Crayons, Soaps, Lip balm, Moisturizing lotion etc., The wax is produced by honey bees transforming the pollen and nectar of flowers into the most amazing array of products like Beeswax, Honey, Bees pollen.

Making of crayons is very easy and fun too... These are kids friendly and it is far better when compared to Soy crayons. The texture of beeswax crayons is very smooth and the fragrance are great. You can add your favorite fragrance by adding Essential oils in it.

Ok! let move on to How to make Home-made Beeswax Crayons (DIY)

Step 1: Materials needed

90 g of Organic Beeswax
90 g of Soap ( preferably in white color, I used Olay)
Food Colors ( paste or gel or Powder. Do not use liquid form, it wont mix with the wax ( like oil and water)
1 large Sauce pan
1 Pyrex glass measuring mug
1 Muffin pan
3 cookie cutters
1 Grater
Aluminium Foil
1 chopstick
3 toothpicks
Petroleum jelly

Step 2: Mold preparation:

1. Place the cookie cutters on the Aluminium foil sheet and cut the sheet according to the size of the cookie cutter.

2. Fold the edges of the sheets to the top of the cookie cutter ( without tearing the sheet)

3. Grease the cookie cutter mold and muffin pan with petroleum jelly.

Step 3: Melt the Beeswax and Soap:

1. Grate the Beeswax and soap. Then take both in the Measuring glass cup.

2. Heat water in large pan, place the measuring cup resting inside. Gently, mix the beeswax and soap over low heat.

3. Once it completely melted, Start pouring into the mold.

Step 4: Pouring the wax into the mold and add colors

1. Once the beeswax and soap completely melted, start pouring it one by one.

2. First pour some wax into the 1 muffin cup, keep the rest of the wax in the pan ( to avoid the hardness).

3. Add food powder into the wax and mix it with toothpick. Mix until you get the uniform color. ( Add more food powder to achieve bright color)

4. Repeat the same process for rest the mold.

5. Let them sit for 4 hours.

6. After the resting time, remove the crayons from the mold.


When you mix the food color, do it carefully. The wax will be very hot.

Sweet Paniyaram with Idli batter

Sweet Paniyaram / Innipu Paniyaram is made of leftover idli batter, jaggery and coconut. The texture is soft and sponge. It can be serve as tiffin or snack. 


  • 2 cup Idli batter (use thick batter)
  • 8 tbsp Jaggery powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • sesame oil for shallow frying


1. Take idli batter, jaggery, coconut and cardamom powder in a mixing bowl. Mix all well.

2. Heat appe pan and add few drops of oil in it.

3. Pour spoonful of batter until 3/4th of mould.

4. Cook on both sides until they become golden brown on both sides.

5. Serve hot with tea or milk.

Cranberry Galette

Cranberry Galette is a free form tart. The texture of pastry is soft and flaky. The filling is sweet and sour taste. In each bite you can feel the crunchiness of walnuts. Overall, It is an easy and tasty dessert.

I served this dessert with a scoop of vanilla icecream. It was so good. Try this dessert, I'm sure you ll love it.

Step 1: Ingredients

For filling

2 cup Cranberry (frozen or fresh)
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
1/3 cup Dark brown sugar
1/3 cup walnuts

For pastry

1 1/4 cup All purpose flour
1/2 cup Unsalted butter, chilled and cut into 1 inch cubes
1 tbsp Granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
5 tbsp of cold water
2 tbsp of Milk or table cream for brushing the dough.

Step 2: Filling preparation

Wash and pat dry the cranberries with paper towel.

chop the cranberries and walnuts and set aside.

Take cranberries in bowl, add sugar and brown sugar. Stir it well with spoon and close the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside.

Step 4: Make dough & refridgerate it for 30 minutes

1. Take flour, salt and sugar. Whisk until all combined well.

2. Add cold butter cubes, Mix it using fork or hand, until it resembles wet sand.

3. Add a tablespoon at a time, mix well using hand.

4. Keep adding water and knead until the dough becomes right consistency.

5. Cover the bowl with lid or plastic wrap or transfer the dough into Zip-lock plastic bag and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 5: Roll out the dough

1. Remove dough from refridgerator to a flour coated work surface. Roll the dough using rolling pin about 12 inch in all sides.

2. Gently transfer the rolled dough to the baking pan lined with baking sheet.

Step 6: Free form tart preparation

Preheat oven to 400 F.

1. Add cranberry filling in the centre of dough. Evenly spread the filling over the pastry sheet and leave 2 inch gap in border.

2. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over the filling.

3. Gently fold the edges of pastry sheet over filling.

4. Brush with table cream or milk, around the edges of the pastry sheet and sprinkle some granulated sugar on it.

Step 7: Bake it up

Bake it for about 25 to 30 minutes or the edges of the pastry turn to nice golden brown colour.

Remove it from oven and move it wire rack to cool down.

Serving Suggestion:

Sift powder sugar on edges of pastry and serve with whipped cream or any choice of fav ice cream..
