Homemade Tandoori Masala Spice Mix


Tandoori Masala. It's Homemade, Fresh, No preservatives
Making spice powder at home is always best and it gives unique taste/aroma to the dishes. It's summer time, I usually make whole roasted chicken, grilled chicken/fish for my family. Hence, I thought of making my own Tandoori masala spice powder at home. All the spices that are ready to go in your pantry. You can make this in 15 minutes. It is so simple and wonderful. This spice powder is the basic for cooking variety of dishes like tandoori chicken/fish/prawn, butter chicken, spicy roast chicken, chicken 65, roasted cauliflower etc,..
Below mentioned recipe makes approximately 2.5 cups of Tandoori masala.
Ingredients:
Homemade Tandoori Masala

4 teaspoon Ginger powder
4 teaspoon Garlic powder
2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
4 teaspoon Kasthoori methi
4 teaspoon Cinnamon
4 teaspoon Cloves
4 teaspoon Mace
4 teaspoon Black peppercorns
4 teaspoon Black cardamom
6 tablespoon Cumin seeds
8 tablespoon Coriander seeds
1 tablespoon Dry orange food color (optional)
Method:
Take heavy bottom pan, add in all whole spices.
Roast/Toss them over medium flame for about 3 minutes.
Remove the roasted spice to bowl, let it completely cool down.
Once it cooled down, take roasted spices in blender and add all ground spices into it .


Blend until smooth powder.
Sieve the spice powder through a strainer and store it in air tight container.

These chickens are made with marination of vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce and pan fried over medium flame. It is a great dish to try out this summer.  Pls do try this simple recipe and share your feedback in the comment section.

Pan Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

2 lb chicken
Marination:
1 cup of olive oil
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white vinegar
1/2 cup of soy sauce
Method:
Take all the ingredients mentioned under marination in mixing bowl and mix it all well until well combined.
Add chicken into the marination mixture, let it sit for at least 3 hours.

Heat the pan over medium Flame.
Once it heated, place the chicken legs on the Pan.
Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken to other side and cook again.
Cook until it cooked well and the outer skin of chicken change to golden brown color.
Then remove from flame. Slice it up and serve with yogurt dip or Mayo.

DIY Jell-O Lip Gloss


I never thought making lip gloss at home is very simple and fun. You will need only 2 ingredients to make it. Adding jell-o fruit mix, gives nice color and flavor. I just love it. These homemade lip gloss would be great gift option for your friends and relatives. I hope you will try this simple diy. Thank you.


Supplies:
Vaselin Petroleum Jelly
Jell-O fruit mix ( any flavor of your choice )
Gel food color (optional)
Pan
Pyrex glass measuring cup
skewer
Container with its lid
Method :
Take some amount of petroleum jelly in measuring cup. ( if you are adding gel food color, add that too )
Heat water in large pan, place the measuring cup resting inside. Gently, mix the vaseline using skewer over low heat.
Once it completely melted, add in jell-o mix and keep stirring until it dissolve fully.

Now carefully remove the measuring cup from stove (use your mittens to take out the cup, it ll be very hot)

Pour into the container and let it allow to set for sometime.

That's all! Homemade flavorful lip gloss is ready.

Baked Vegetable Noodles

Baked Vegetable Noodles

Baked Vegetable Noodles are simple to make. This dish is the best and healthy way to kick start your day. It is made of full of colorful veggies, cheese and egg. It goes well with toasted bread and a cup of black tea. I hope you will try this healthy dish. Thank you :)


Baked Vegetable Noodles

Ingredients:




(you can adjust the quantity of veggies & seasoning as your wish)
Parmesan cheese ( 1/4 cup + 1/4 cup)
1 Egg (beaten)
Vegetable :
Carrot
Zucchini
Purple onion
Red and yellow bell pepper
Tapioca
Seasoning:
Oregano
Garlic herb pepper seasoning
Paprika
Bread crumbs
Salt
Oil
For cutting veggies
Spiral slicer
Knife
Slice the veggies:

Wash all the vegetables thoroughly with water.
Peel and discard the skin of carrot, tapioca and onion.
I used spiral slicer for slicing carrot, tapioca, zucchini and knife for slicing onion, bell peppers.

Now raw veggie noodles are ready for seasoning.
Add all seasoning:

Take raw veggie noodles in a mixing bowl, add the seasoning according your taste.
Then add cheese and beaten egg, mix all until the veggies coated well with the spices.
Bake it up:

Preheat oven to 375 F
Take Pyrex bowl, transfer the veggie mixture into it.
Sprinkle some cheese on top and bake for 35 minutes or until the cheese topping changes to slightly brown.
Once it baked, remove it carefully from the oven.
Serve it with toasted bread and a cup of your favorite drink

Chocolate Mug Cake - Second Blogiversary


Today Bhawish's Kitchen is stepping into 3rd year. I am really thankful to my family, friends and readers to appreciate my work and I always want your support and encouragement for the forthcoming year. To celebrate 2nd Blogiversary, I made this yummy Chocolate Mug Cake. It is very simple recipe yet tasty too. You will need only 2 minutes to make this delicious cake. I doubled the below mentioned recipe to make 3 small mug cakes. Read on for the detailed recipe.



Ingredients

1/4 cup All purpose flour / Maida
5 tbsp Sugar
1 large Egg
3 tbsp Milk
3 tbsp Vegetable oil
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
1/4 tsp of Vanilla essence
A pinch of Salt
Butter for greasing

Yield : 1 big mug size cake

Method:



Take all the ingredients (expect butter) in a bowl, mix it all without any lumps.
Grease mug with butter.
Pour the batter into greased mud. Leave 1/4th of space on top of mug for cake raising.
Microwave it for 2 minutes. That's all mug cake is ready.

I love to have this cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I was not a big fan of cricket in my early childhood days.  But slowly I got addicted to the game.  How did I get so much interest and love on Cricket?
My Dad is the only person, who love to watch cricket in my home. I always scold him to change the channel and keep some movies, but he never listen to me or anyone. The TV Remote control would be in my Dad's control until the match got over.  So, every day i was  forced to hear the running commentary.  After few years, I was so curious to know why this game is  so fame in all the age groups. I asked  my dad asked to teach me that game. My dad happily explained all about the cricket. After watching few matches I fell in love with that thrilling and emotional game. Before, I used to scold my dad to change the channel. Now my sisters started  to telling me the same :P... I finish  all  my work before the match starts. If I have some pending works to do, I postpone the work without second thought. Always I give first preference to watch cricket.  
Ok fine! let's imagine a situation.Some of my friends came to my home to watch cricket match. We have our very own TV and remote,  all snacks are ready to munch on and last but not the least, cricket premium league match gonna start in ten minutes.  The match is between chennai super kings and Rajasthan royals. Finally, the match started :). our team won the toss and chose to batting. They were playing so well and after 13th over, we lost our first wicket. Then Dhoni came to the field for batting. We all were so excited to watch him playing. By that time, unfortunately power cut in our area :(. we badly want to see the match, but there is no power in home.  One of my friend, kept the match in her 3G mobile. But the browser was very slow and the video kept strucking and loading for every minute. Tandoori Fish | Pomfret Fish Fry

Fish fry

This is my first guest post. I am so glad to share my favorite dish with you all today. Tandoori Fish is very tasty dish and it is so simple to make. Marinade the fish with Indian spice powders, ginger garlic paste, lime juice and then cook it in the oven. That's all!
